Summer 2018 Feature: Fausti at 70

Upland Almanac – Bird Hunting | Dogs & Dog Training | Shotgun Enthusiasts

An excerpt from Fausti at 70…When Stefano Fausti started his company, his tools were basic, and much of the work on his shotguns was done by hand. The new state-of-the-art Fausti factory is far removed from the original shop and features row after row of modern computer numerical control (CNC) machines that churn out actions and gun parts with incredible precision. The machining room at the Italian factory looks more like a surgical suite than a gun factory, with technicians in coats plugging numbers into computers that feed data into the CNC equipment. These new machines reduce tolerances, helping to make Fausti’s guns reliable and smooth.
