Appearance

Health
Bluetick coonhounds live to be between 11 and 12 years of age, and are generally in good health. Like many pure breed dogs, the Bluetick Coonhound is prone to hip dysplasia, especially in old age. They are also prone to bloating, and you should watch their diet and make sure they get plenty of exercise as a result.
Hunting

These dogs are among the friendliest of all the coonhound breeds.
